RDS Forum - the association of RDS users
In 2018 WorldCast Systems in Bordeaux announced two RDS2 innovations:
- FM MC5 - a multipurpose measuring equipment for analysis and with full RDS2 capabilities.
- The new RDS MPX encoder with full RDS2 functionality compliant with the new RDS standard IEC 62106-1 to 6, such as with dead wood deleted, the upper streams with C-type groups and the Long PS using UTF-8 character coding, all included for a prize in the order of magnitude of the previous RDS encoder version. So, a simple replacement can be done, just plug and play.

In 2023, the Audemat RDS decoder is still only RDS2 ready. This means that it has not yet the new version of the UECP, as standardized in IEC 62106-10 fully implemented. Potential users of RDS2 impatiently wait for this obstacle to be removed soon.
The RDS Forum looks forward to announcing soon, and still during 2023, such a very important and essential innovation to have happened.
